据介绍，当晚8时许，娄底的天空能见度较高，市民清晰地看到该市西北角有一明亮的不明飞行物，在空中飘浮了两个多
小时。不明飞行物的外形酷似传说中的飞碟，呈倒三角形，通体发红光。在8点半至11点期间，该物不断地交替变换了几
种形状与颜色。9点左右，不明飞行物一会儿变成圆球体，中间呈红色，四周发出蓝色的光。10点半左右，不明飞行物突
然消失在黑夜中。据娄底市气象台监测站介绍，当晚他们没有向天空发射探测气象的仪器。
湖南师大理学院骆宏悌教授认为，由于不明飞行物在空中停留的时间较长，排除了它是飞机的可能，更有可能是传
说中不明飞行物体。但他同时认为，由于不能肯定不明飞行物的飘浮的高度，也就不能排除是光学错觉造成的视觉假象。。。。。。。
