本片主景在非州，基本上是以猎奇、惊险、追杀情节为主。动作设计近乎是"武打艺术"，创意十足，神采飞扬。片中的高厦天台格斗、从玻璃幕墙外急速飞落、从直升飞机上摔下跌落原始森林等，都拍得惊险万状，格外刺激。但过往较多的惹笑场面少了，文戏也显得薄弱，对白设计更是一般。影片在森林和沙漠逗留了不多久，便回到城市世界，似乎对角色"我是谁"的冲击没有交待清楚，以致上一述一场出现得犹为突兀。而成龙站在楼顶以360度摇镜，苦痛地大喊"我是谁"，更是相当俗套。成龙的电影不论哪个导演拍制，出来的作品都是"成龙风格"，多与少唯有看导演的挣扎力量。看来成龙要再创新高，非得找一个具有新鲜意念的导演不可。
